Reflexology

Although Reflexology dates from more than 5,000 years ago, it was only developed further in the 19th century.

It was found that applying pressure in various places along 10 vertical zones the length of the body could ease underlying problems.

Of these zones, the feet are the most effective, as they are the most sensitive and responsive, with thousands of nerve endings.

Each foot is divided into five zones, said to correspond to different areas of the body.

Reflexologists work on the reflexes with their thumbs and fingers, using specialised massage techniques, to help correct imbalances throughout the body and release blocked energy.
